Usually, it’s the lead-wire connection that lets you down.&#xA;Think about where the electrical wire actually enters that quartz or ceramic tube. That spot is a total danger zone. If that seal isn&amp;rsquo;t tight, oxygen and moisture just sneak right in. Once they do, they start eating away at the filament and ruining the insulation. It&amp;rsquo;s a slow burn, but it&amp;rsquo;s deadly for your gear.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The real problem with &amp;ldquo;standard&amp;rdquo; builds&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Most heaters on the market use basic glues or some cheap silicone. That stuff just can&amp;rsquo;t handle the heat, especially when you&amp;rsquo;ve got a ceiling setup where the hottest air just pools right at the top.&#xA;Eventually, the insulation gets brittle. We call it &amp;ldquo;thermal aging,&amp;rdquo; but really, it just means the plastic is turning into a cracker. It cracks, the electricity arcs, and suddenly you&amp;rsquo;ve got a short circuit. Now you&amp;rsquo;re not just dealing with a broken heater—you&amp;rsquo;re dealing with a fire hazard hanging over your head. Not great.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;A better way to lock things down&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We do things differently. Instead of glue, we use glass-to-metal seals or high-temp ceramic potting. It basically creates a vault around the leads.&#xA;Since oxygen can&amp;rsquo;t touch the tungsten filament at that connection point, the wire doesn&amp;rsquo;t &amp;ldquo;thin out&amp;rdquo; and snap prematurely. Everything stays stable. Your heater just works the way it&amp;rsquo;s supposed to for a lot longer.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;One quick heads-up on installation&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;There is a trade-off here. Because this seal is so solid, the lead-wires are a bit stiffer.&#xA;Please, don&amp;rsquo;t try to bend them into a sharp angle to force them into a tight box. If you kink the wire, you&amp;rsquo;re putting a ton of stress on that seal. Just make sure your mounting brackets give the wire a little room to breathe and follow its natural curve.&#xA;It&amp;rsquo;s a small detail, but it&amp;rsquo;s the difference between swapping out heaters every six months and actually forgetting they&amp;rsquo;re even up there.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
