Technical Deep-Dive: Power, Voltage, and Dimensions
Let’s get straight to it. We built this PC preform softening lamp to solve a headache you’re already living with: the ridiculous cost of keeping those Krones Contiform machines running. This lamp is a direct, performance-matched alternative to the OEM. It puts out the same heat, but it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg to own. We built it for the long haul. It runs on 400V, pulling the kind of power that gives you the rapid heat-up you need, right when you need it. The 300mm length and 2500W rating were chosen specifically to match the heating zone of the Contiform unit. So the heat goes exactly where the preform needs it, and nowhere else.
Material & Design: Halogen, Coating, and Connectors
Inside, you’ve got a shortwave halogen element tucked into a high-purity quartz tube. This is what gives you that intense, focused infrared energy that gets the job done fast. The quartz tube is coated, too. That coating is there for one reason: to take a beating. It handles the shock of rapid on/off cycles and fights off the chemical buildup that would eat through standard glass. And when it comes to getting it installed? It couldn’t be easier. We use the standard R7s connector. It gives you a solid, low-resistance connection that can handle the constant vibration of the machine line. It’s a true drop-in replacement. No rewiring. No re-engineering. Just plug it in and get back to work.
Application & Benefits: Krones Contiform Drop-In Replacement
This lamp was born for the Krones Contiform stretch blow molding environment. It’s a direct fit, engineered to match the OEM’s thermal profile and physical footprint. The payoff? A simple retrofit that cuts your maintenance costs without slowing you down. Here’s the trade-off, though: this thing packs a punch. A 400V, 2500W tube delivers serious heat, so your machine’s cooling system has to be up to the task. As long as your system is clean and properly cooled, you get consistent softening and far fewer unexpected shutdowns. The whole point is simple: keep your line moving, and stop overpaying for parts. This lamp does both.
