When you throw in replacement lamps with different power ratings, your preforms don’t heat evenly. Then you start seeing those annoying variations in the wall thickness of your PET bottles. It’s frustrating. That’s why we build our replacement lamps for the Nissei ASB 70DP to match the power exactly. No guessing. No “close enough.” Why the math actually matters Here’s the thing: a tiny 5% difference in wattage changes the whole infrared spectrum. For the ASB 70DP, the lamp has to hit the exact voltage and wattage footprint to keep the thermal profile steady. We obsess over the power density per millimeter. If the wattage is too low, you’ll end up with under-blown bases. Too high? You’re risking a burnt neck. It’s a tight balance. Built to actually fit We use high-purity quartz glass because these things take a beating from rapid thermal cycling. Depending on your machine version, these use R7s or Sk15 connectors. But it’s not just about whether they plug in. We make sure the electrical contact is tight. A loose or cheap connector creates a hot spot, and that’s how you burn out a socket. Make sure your electrical panels are clean and your cooling blowers are actually doing their job.
