The Secret to 400V Heating
Here’s the thing: running these tubes at 400V lets us pack more wattage into a small space. It’s a setup made for industrial grids, so you get maximum heat density without overloading your current draw. We use high-purity quartz glass because it helps that shortwave radiation actually sink deep into the PET. But a word of caution: don’t just crank the wattage to fix a cold spot. You’ll burn out the filament. You’ve got to find that sweet spot between power density and your machine’s cooling capacity, or you’ll end up overheating the whole oven frame.
No-Fuss Setup
Nobody wants to spend their weekend rewiring a harness. We use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors—depending on how old your machine is—so they just click in. Inside, there’s a halogen cycle that keeps the filament fresh, which means the lamps actually last through all those constant on-off cycles. Some of our tubes even have a special coating. Instead of wasting heat on the surrounding air, it pushes the energy exactly where it needs to go: the preform.
Real Talk: Making it Work on the Floor
These radiators are built for the grind of a PET line. When the thermal field is tight, you stop seeing so many rejects. It just makes the whole process smoother. But here is a pro tip:keep your reflectors clean. You can have the best lamp in the world, but if your reflectors are covered in grime, your heat uniformity is gone.
